Summary of Evaluation of SSI’s Ability Links
Help tip: Ability Links NSW was funded by the NSW Government to support inclusion for people with disability through a mix of generalist and Aboriginal staff called Linkers and Early Linkers (for children aged 0–8 years). Linkers supported people with disability aged 9–64 years (with or without a diagnosis), their families and carers to identify their goals and connect with their community and mainstream services. Linkers also supported community organisations, mainstream services and businesses to become more inclusive of people with disability. This evaluation reports on SSI’s delivery of Ability Links in two regions of NSW.

Help tip: CultureReady was a series of national training initiative designed to build the capacity and capability of National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service providers to deliver quality culturally responsive disability support to participants from CALD backgrounds across Australia. Summary of Evaluation of HSS Service Delivery Model
Help tip: SSI was contracted by the Australian Government to deliver the Humanitarian Settlement Services (HSS) program to refugees and other humanitarian entrants in the Sydney region and parts of western NSW. The HSS provided tailored support to refugees, typically for between six and 12 months after arrival, to strengthen social and economic participation, promote independence and equip refugees with the skills and knowledge they need to start a new life in Australia. This evaluation reports on settlement outcomes for refugees in the HSS.

SSI was contracted to deliver the HSP in selected locations across NSW including in Armidale which was designated as a new regional settlement location in 2017. This evaluation reports on the establishment of the HSP in Armidale and early settlement outcomes for newly arrived refugees.

This evaluation aimed to build the evidence base on the NSP model to better understand the key enablers of the consortium model and SETS program delivery that result in positive settlement outcomes for clients and communities.
